Invalid Page Fault Occurs when Using Password Protected PST and MS Word

Microsoft Outlook .pst files store local copies of all email messages, calendar events etc.. To enforce data privacy and protection, these files can be protected using passwords. You are prompted to enter a password to access personal folder contents, each time after you set a password for the .pst file and try to open the file. Thus, if you lose or forget the PST password, it will no longer be accessible. You should keep trying to type the correct PST password. However, if all your attempts fails, you should look for a better solution- Outlook Password Recovery software.

To illustrate, suppose you try to send an email message using Microsoft Word. You encounter a prompt asking you to enter a password for your PST (personal folder) file. You ignore this prompt and the message sending fails as you receive an Invalid Page Fault.

Cause

The above issue can occur if one of the below conditions is true:

1.You are not using PST as your default mail delivery location
2.You are using Microsoft Word as your default email editor
3.You are using a password protected .pst file, for which the password is not cached

Solution

To solve the existing issue, consider the following suggestions:

1.Make sure you have specified PST as your default mail delivery location and you have not configured Word as the default email editor
2.When sending email using Word, you should enter the correct password for your password-protected PST file when prompted

At times, you cannot perform the email operations from a password protected PST file as you enter incorrect password. This might occur if you have forgotten or lost the PST password. To deal with such problems, it is suggested to use third-party Password Recovery tools, specifically designed to recover passwords for a PST file.
